The most important thing God asks of you is to trust Him. He knows what He is doing. And if you put your complete faith in Him and carefully follow His instructions, you will live a very Blessed and abundant life.

God needs your obedience to work through you to reach the world. The only Jesus many people will ever see is through you. The only miracle that some will ever experience will be through your faith and prayers. The only joy, peace and love someone may ever experience, will be through your actions.

And even more important than all those, that one little step of faith that God asks of you, may have global, or even eternal consequences. Consider the fate of Ninevah if Jonah never preached to them. Would the city have survived? What if Abraham did not offer his son, opening the door for God to offer His? Would we have Jesus? What if Noah refused to build the ark. Would mankind even exist?

Even the tiniest step of faith has spiritual and eternal consequences that go way beyond human reasoning. God needs and wants you close to Him so He can work with you and through you to save the world. Are you willing?

Hebrews 11 is the faith Hall of Fame. It is in this chapter, you learn that faith was the ability behind all the Bible heroes. That same faith belongs to every Believer, and it is what pleases God the most. This chapter and especially these two verse inspired this poem.

By faith, Noah built a ship in the middle of dry land. He was warned about something he couldn’t see, and acted on what he was told. The result? His family was saved. His act of faith drew a sharp line between the evil of the unbelieving world and the rightness of the believing world. As a result, Noah became intimate with God. — Hebrews 11:7 THE MESSAGE

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. — Hebrews 11:6 NLT

What Would God Have Done?

By Harrison Woodard

What if Noah said it couldn’t be true,

And told God he didn’t believe?

If Noah ignored God’s instructions,

Where would mankind be?

What if Noah had been lazy?

And the storm clouds covered the sun.

If the ark had not been completed,

Would God have saved anyone?

What if Abraham had not said,

That God Himself would be given?

Without that final sacrifice,

Would we ever be forgiven?

What if Abraham had refused,

To sacrifice his promised son?

Had he not honored his covenant with God,

Would Jesus have ever come?

What if Mary had no faith,

And told Gabriel she didn’t believe.

When she heard the Word of God,

She just couldn’t agree.

What if she let fear and doubt,

Rob us all of God’s Holy Son.

What if Mary said, “No”?

What would God have done?

But thank God all these saints,

Had the faith to agree.

They obeyed the Word of God.

Changed the world and set us free.

Now ask yourself this question,

Would you be faithful and true?

When God comes calling,

Can He count on you?
